Arizona Cannabis Regulations

State Cannabis Overview: Arizona, through the Smart and Safe Arizona Act (Proposition 207), legalized recreational Cannabis use for adults aged 21 and above, as 60 percent of voters were in favor. The state has a well-established medical Cannabis program called the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act (AMMA).

This program allows qualified patients with certain medical conditions to obtain a medical marijuana card for using and possessing Cannabis for medical purposes.

License Dispensaries: The ADHS (Arizona Department of Health Services) strictly oversees, licenses, regulates, and inspects the activities of medical marijuana dispensaries.
